Route-Aware Charging Intelligence

Charge what theroute needs. No more.

Smart Charge ingests each bus's daily timetable and every route's exact kWh-per-kilometre profile. It computes the minimum state-of-charge each vehicle must reach before its next departure — and only fills beyond that when electricity is cheap enough to be worth banking.

Real-Time Tariff Optimisation

Pause at peak.Resume when cheap.

Smart Charge connects to live electricity pricing APIs and tracks spot prices, time-of-use tariffs, night-rate windows and weekend discounts — 24/7. When tariffs rise, it holds vehicles in smart standby. When they drop, charging resumes automatically. Upcoming cheap windows are planned for in advance.

Solar + ESS Integration

Your own sun.Stored. Spent first.

Smart Charge balances three energy sources in real time — grid, rooftop solar (PV), and the on-site Energy Storage System (ESS). Solar feeds vehicles first; excess is stored in the ESS for later; grid fills the gaps only when it must. Every kilowatt-hour is routed to its most valuable use.

AC · DC Smart Assignment

Fast chargers forurgent turnarounds only.

Depots mix a handful of costly DC fast chargers with many economical AC units. Smart Charge assigns each vehicle based on time-before-departure: buses with ample window go to 22 kW AC; short-turnaround buses get a 150 kW DC slot. Fast chargers are never tied up by vehicles that don't need them.

ANPR Arrival · Instant Assessment

Bus enters the depot.Plan is ready in under a second.

An ANPR camera at the facility entrance reads the licence plate the moment a bus returns. Smart Charge immediately pulls the vehicle's live SoC, its next route, available charging time, current tariff and charger availability — and produces a charging plan before the driver has finished parking.

Live Depot View

Every bus.Every charger. One view.

A continuous telematics feed keeps Smart Charge aware of each bus's SoC and GPS position — whether it's on route, returning, or already in a bay. Every charger reports its status in real time via OCPP. The result: no charger conflicts, no idle fast chargers, no surprises.

Operator Dashboard · Driver App

Everyone seeswhat they need.

Fleet managers run the depot from a full-featured desktop application with real-time vehicle, charger and energy telemetry. Each driver gets a mobile app that shows, at a glance, whether their bus will be ready for the next service — with alerts if anything changes.
